On this trip you will take in the sights, sounds and tastes of traditional Berber villages, bask in the tranquility of lake Lala Takarcoust and be wowed by the rugged Agafay Desert. This day trip truly has it all.
We will pick you up from your hotel or riad at 9:00 a.m. and head towards the High Atlas Mountains via Asni. You will enjoy fresh tea, bread and argan oil before the good women of the cooperative show you around their workshop. Then we will continue on to Imlil where you will enjoy a leisurely walk through the orchards and hills. We will pass by a waterfall before you arrive in the village where you will enjoy a homemade lunch on the terrace while enjoying the breathtaking views of North Africa’s tallest peak. Following lunch you can opt to continue your walk or be picked up by an SUV and enjoy a scenic drive through the Kik Plateau before finally reaching the edge of the stunning Lalla Takerkoust Lake. Our journey will continue on to the completely different scenery of the tranquil desert and the countryside. Have your camera ready because we will take you off-road for the best views. Here in the heart of the Agafay Desert you will have tea in a Berber tent and relax a bit before we head back to Marrakech. You will be dropped off at your hotel around 6:30 pm. Note 1: If you prefer to watch the sunset in the Agafay Desert you can prolong your stay there before returning to the city.
